COMPOSTIBLE & PLASTIC FREE
These pods are fully compostable, plastic free and made from renewable raw materials.
All our pods come in the Nespresso 'original' style and are compatible with ANY machine that takes this style of pods. Nespresso's Vertuo machines rely on a barcode on the pod so will ONLY take Nespresso branded pods. As Nespresso move more towards the Vertuo model, we wanted everyone to be able to use our pods so we made our own machine, The Artisio!

I love the idea of the matcha coffee pods. When my family and I tried them out, we all agreed that they didn’t have enough matcha flavour.

Great. I just love these products I also think the customer service is great.
Excellent, highly recommend.
tastes so good
It’s very rich and smooth. I like everytime making matcha latte from my nespresso machine
Let's start by highlighting the fact that there's a reason why a whisk is used with matcha and there's no way you can replicate that with a pod. In a similar vein, if you're after a proper cup of joe, you wouldn't reach for your Nespresso pods. I use the pods because they're convenient and brew a proper flavourful hot drink on the weekends (along with all the cleaning that's involved). I also won't be comparing it to the Nakamura Tokichi matcha that I would normally use as that would be silly. Besides, from the way things are going, I have no idea when I'll be able to pick up some more. For my first cup, I made the mistake of pressing for a larger drink without thinking and although it came out with a nice green hue, I found it quite watery in flavour. On my second attempt, I remembered to press for a smaller drink but was disappointed to see the first few split seconds of hot liquid looking very clear before the matcha appeared. That made me think, what if I gave the pod a gentle tap before popping it in so I get more of the powder against the foil? The results were mixed and it seemed more of a superstitious ritual than a genuine solution to the problem. When it was pointed out that it says they're compostable on the packet, I realized that I can't just throw it in the compost with the aluminium foil, so I tried peeling it off, only to find a lot of congealed matcha still within the pod. Will I be buying some more in the future? I guess I would, as it's nice to have a few pods around. I've been looking all over for a matcha pod that's not a latte (which you can get for Dolce Gusto) and it's nice to have an alternative for the Nespresso machine that's not just coffee (I haven't checked to see if the next drinker gets a matcha stained coffee). I still feel it tastes a bit watery but it is convenient for when you want to grab a quick matcha (which I'm sure, sounds like an oxymoron).
